My name is Tess Sudweeks. It used to be Tess Brown. I went to BYU, served a mission in Poland, taught first grade for three years, met Trevor, married him five months later, moved to Arizona for Trevor to learn how to be a doctor, and now I'm teaching second grade. We love our lives and feel so blessed.

I pretty much only like happy movies.
My favorite color is navy blue.
My husband's favorite color is any shade of blue.
Our bedspread is blue.
I speak Polish, which comes in handy never.
I care too much about what other people think.

I have made bigger mistakes than most people would expect.
I have a sensitive heart which is a weakness and a strength.
I often, unknowingly, mess up the lyrics to songs I'm singing along to.
I love The Sound of Music.
I love To Kill a Mockingbird.
I play the piano when I'm stressed or worried or avoiding something.
I love being married.
I can't wait to be a mom.
I hate roller coasters, like I can't even pretend to like them to be cool.
I believe there is a movie quote or line from a song that goes with pretty much every situation in life.
I may be the only American who doesn't like hot dogs, oreos, or hot chocolate.
I am a Mormon.
I blog to explain personal things I'm learning without having to be too vulnerable.
And I get a big kick out of blogging and finding out that someone read it and learned from it.
I think that pretty much sums it up.
