Goodness

The purpose of this page is to share some of the goodness I have found while writing my blog. These are some of my most favoritest talks, articles, devotionals, videos, books, songs, etc. I will update this page from time to time, so make sure to check back again!

The Tender Mercies of the Lord by Elder David A. Bednar

Mormon Messages: Wrong Roads by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland
  • Why I love it: Because it's Elder Holland. And it helps me when I am trying to make spiritually-guided decisions in my life and I'm frustrated because I feel like things just aren't working out and I'm not getting the answers I want.
  • Where I used it: Lesson learned: Don't panic

The Divine Gift of Repentance by Elder D. Todd Christofferson
  • Why I love it: This is an incredible talk. He explains how repentance is a good thing and a blessing. This is one I read countless times when I felt like I was making the same mistakes over and over again and I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to get out of that cycle.
  • Where I used it: Lesson learned: Keep trying and be patient

You Know Enough by Elder Neil L. Andersen
  • Why I love it: This has been a pivotal talk for me at times when I've doubted myself, doubted my testimony, or doubted my abilities. I read it a ton on my mission. It helped me realize I don't need a perfect knowledge and understanding to move forward or to believe.
  • Where I used it: Lesson learned: It's okay to not completely understand

Hymn: Be Still My Soul
  • Why I love it: I love this hymn (yes, even if it isn't David Archuleta singing). It helps me look at the big picture, ground myself, and remember that God is in control and I can go ahead and stop worrying so much.
  • Where I used it: Lesson learned: Be still

Other talks I haven't necessarily used in my blog but I would highly recommend:
